Goal

Get the client invite sent and accepted without delay.

Try the steps below in order. Each one rules out a common cause before you move on.

Fix the issue

Check the email address

Confirm that the client’s email is typed correctly and uses the right inbox. Then send the invite again.

Check invite status or duplicates

Make sure you have not already sent an invite to the same client. If an invite is already pending, use that one instead of creating a new one.

Confirm the client’s email is not blocked

Check whether the client’s email address is blocked or filtered in your account settings. If it is, remove the block and resend the invite.

Make sure your team has permission to invite clients

Confirm that the person sending the invite has the right access. If permissions are limited, ask an account owner to send the invite.

Ask the client to check spam and accept the invite

Have the client look in their spam or junk folder, then open the invite and accept it as soon as possible.

If it still doesn’t work

Contact support and share the client name and email address so the team can look into it.
